Spash Mountain from an unusual angle.

I thought I would have a little competition to see who can figure out where I took this photo. It was a place I had not taken a camera before. Any Ideas? It turned out to be a fun spot to take other photos too. There is a little clue in the left had corner of the photo, something not quite in character with the rest of the shot. If you know what it is, it might give you a clue as to where I was!!!

Welcome to the New Look at Photographing Disney.

Hi there, today has been a day of change, I upgraded my computer to Windows 10. Oh gosh that is so much better than 8.1. So to celebrate I decided to work on the look of Photographing Disney, I added a little splash of color, to the old black and white look. I still kept it dark because I think the photos stand out more on the darker background. But it felt a little gloomy to me. I hope you like the new style. Anyway, I looked for a really colorful photo to post and I thought that Mr and Mrs Duck looked all bright and cheerful.

Beast's Castle.

In the background on the horizon, you can see the Beast's Castle. Across this very bridge Gaston and his mob came armed and ready to Kill the Beast!

Epcot or Japan? Yup it's the one at Disney World.

I love some of the little scenes that you find at Epcot. As some of you may know we went to Japan last year. This photo was taken at Epcot and it could well have been one of the photos that I took in Japan. They have done such a good job at Epcot, it's probably my favourite park now. We are looking forward to being there next month. Yeah.

Reflections of (Spaceship) Earth.

This is Spaceship Earth as you have never seen her before. It was taken outside the land in a cool little pool. Just the right amount of ripples to make it a nice texture.

23 Sleeps.

Well as my friend Vonnie says 23 sleeps to the next Disney trip. This is one of my favourite things to do at Walt Disney World, Illuminations, Reflections of Earth. This form of Illuminations is would you believe 16 years old and it's probably due for a replacement. However, I do love it. This shot is from the start of the show as the globe is heading to the center of the lake. Lots of great colours from the fireworks and the lights. Hope you like the shot as much as I do.

Beast's Castle Window.

Check out the lovely stained glass window, at the entrance to Be our Guest, in the Beast's Castle. Though technically he's not a beast anymore.

It's showtime for Mickey and Minnie.

I really love the shows that Disney put on, this one was at Tokyo Disneyland and it was terrific.

First Thing I did at WDW.

My first visit to WDW was in 1999. To be honest I wasn't that excited about it, I was looking forward to the second week in Miami a lot more, but you know the kids wanted to see Mickey............. The first evening we got there all jet lagged, we met with our friends from England at the ESPN cafe on the Boardwalk. I didn't think that the place was too magical, but I did enjoy the BBQ pulled pork sandwich. Anyway, the next day, WOW we hit Disney proper and I loved it. Our first ever ride on a Disney attraction was pretty amazing, if you wan't to find out all about it, it's covered the Disney Diaries Vol One. See link to the left. If you don't then enjoy the nostalgic photo of the Boardwalk. We have a trip in three weeks. Going to take lots and lots of photos for you all to enjoy. Thanks for looking at the blog. I appreciate your patronage. Cheers Larry.

Balloons.

I always love the balloon sellers on Main Street USA. Nice to see them making people happy and doing a roaring trade. The balloons have changed over the years. Now Frozen Balloons probably outsell Mickey and Minnie, but who cares if everyone is having fun.

Prince Charming Regal Carousel

I've been photographing the carousel for many years, We even had our photo taken on it in our wedding outfits when we got married at Walt Disney World. However, I never knew it was called Prince Charming Regal Carousel.
