Fun with a wide angle lens.
I always think that it's fun to pretend you are the only person in the park. And with a crowded Magic Kingdom, it's frankly not that easy. Here is a photo I took on my last trip, which looks almost like I'm the only one there. It's the haunted mansion. To get the shot I got up close but used a really wide angle lens. It creates the illusion that there is a lot of space between me and the building with no one there. Of course the park was really crowded.

Space Mountain from the TTA.
One of the best things that you can do especially on a busy day at the Magic Kingdom is go and ride the TTA. Go and soak up all that lovely Tomorrowland atmosphere and check out the line at Space Mountain.

The Castle
Took a nice little shot of the Castle when the park was very quiet no one around. It's almost a spooky look, normally the castle is bursting in sun light, but remember a lot of spooky things goes on in European Castles beware.
Well we are starting to get ready for our next trip to Disney, it was due in September but got postponed for a few months until the end of January. Santa brought me a nice new wide angle lens for my newest camera so I'm looking forward to getting some great shots for you folks to put here on the blog. I'm probably not going to write a trip report this time as I want to concentrate on the photography but if you guys want to read our old reports from Disneyland, Walt Disney World and Disney Resort Paris there are links to the Kindle books to the right of this lovely photograph.
Cheers Larry.

Samurai Horseman
I took this photograph 11 years ago. It's funny but I don't remember taking it at all. And it's so striking you would think that it's something you would remember. It's obviously taken in Japan in Epcot. I must be getting old.

This is the small carousel at Downtown Disney.
For some reason I seem to like this small carousel more than the big one at the Magic Kingdom, working on the photo as put me in the Christmas Spirit. I always liked the German Christmas Fairs that they have in Europe and this reminds me of them.

Osborne Lights at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Sadly this year is the last year for the Osborne Lights at Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you get a chance to go and see them before the end of the year you should. It's a great show and it will put you in a very Christmas'y mood. The are is part of the new Star Wars redevelopment. It's just a shame they can't find another area to put them in. I'll post a few photos of the lights as we get nearer Christmas.
We never did get our September Trip due to un-forseen circumstances, so we have re-booked for the end of January/early Feb. So not too long to go now. Then I can take a whole new bunch of photographs for this blog.
Cheers Larry.
