Happy Christmas from Photographing Disney
Thursday, December 22, 2016
Let there be light.
I'm really looking forward to the new BaTB movie. Always try to catch the show at Disney's Hollywood Studio's when I'm there.

Fish are friends not food.
Hmmm, I've eaten far too many portions of fish and chips, to comment without being a hypocrite. But I do like the Shark from Finding Nemo, pretty scary.

Epcot at Dusk
I love to wander around Epcot at night, there are some great places to photograph. One of the lesser places people are at night is by the path alongside the Oddessy Center. You get the great curve of the monorail track and the reflections off the pond. It's a great place to go for a stroll when everyone else is waiting for Illuminations.

Post Apocalyptic Town Square.
Whoops there seems to be a fire breathing dragon, marauding around in Town Square in the Magic Kingdom, better take care where you tread.

Ariel
Here is Ariel in the 3pm Parade, well at about 10 past. I enjoyed the parade very much, got lots of good photos. But two girls stood next to me with Turkey Legs, One on each side, I had to be really careful when I was looking through my camera viewfinder that I didn't move and get BBQ Sauce on my clothes.

It's a big blue world.
I went to the Finding Nemo show at Animal Kingdom, mainly to photograph the puppets and puppeteers. Robin my wife is not a big fan of turning the movie into a musical but I guess it's grown on me, I quite enjoyed the show this time. Anyway I really liked this photo, so if you are at Animal Kingdom give the show a try.

Illuminations Reflection of Earth
This is such a great way to end the day at Epcot. It's been running for 16 years now but it's still pretty cool.

Foggy Day at the Magic Kingdom
Here is a slightly different Photographing Disney shot. It was taken one foggy morning last week outside the Magic Kingdom at the Boat Dock. Probably my most not looking like Disney Disney photo ever.

Getting ready for a trip to Walt Disney World - err TOMORROW!
Hi folks, just letting you all know that we are getting really excited about our trip tomorrow for a week to Walt Disney World. It's been since 2014 since I was there. Hoping to get lots of great shots for the blog. Say hi if you see us.

Fun with a wide angle lens.
I always think that it's fun to pretend you are the only person in the park. And with a crowded Magic Kingdom, it's frankly not that easy. Here is a photo I took on my last trip, which looks almost like I'm the only one there. It's the haunted mansion. To get the shot I got up close but used a really wide angle lens. It creates the illusion that there is a lot of space between me and the building with no one there. Of course the park was really crowded.

Space Mountain from the TTA.
One of the best things that you can do especially on a busy day at the Magic Kingdom is go and ride the TTA. Go and soak up all that lovely Tomorrowland atmosphere and check out the line at Space Mountain.

The Castle
Took a nice little shot of the Castle when the park was very quiet no one around. It's almost a spooky look, normally the castle is bursting in sun light, but remember a lot of spooky things goes on in European Castles beware.
Well we are starting to get ready for our next trip to Disney, it was due in September but got postponed for a few months until the end of January. Santa brought me a nice new wide angle lens for my newest camera so I'm looking forward to getting some great shots for you folks to put here on the blog. I'm probably not going to write a trip report this time as I want to concentrate on the photography but if you guys want to read our old reports from Disneyland, Walt Disney World and Disney Resort Paris there are links to the Kindle books to the right of this lovely photograph.
Cheers Larry.
