Samurai Horseman

I took this photograph 11 years ago. It's funny but I don't remember taking it at all. And it's so striking you would think that it's something you would remember. It's obviously taken in Japan in Epcot. I must be getting old.

Epcot or Japan? Yup it's the one at Disney World.

I love some of the little scenes that you find at Epcot. As some of you may know we went to Japan last year. This photo was taken at Epcot and it could well have been one of the photos that I took in Japan. They have done such a good job at Epcot, it's probably my favourite park now. We are looking forward to being there next month. Yeah.

Lucky Find.

I found this old photo in a Junk Shop of the original Hightower Hotel in New York, this is the one the Tower of Terror Ride in Tokyo Disney Sea is modeled after. If you ever get a chance to go to Tokyo then you should go on the ride, it's really cool.

Haunted Mansion.

I've always loved the Mansion, well apart from when my dad died. Then the guy trying to escape from the coffin freaked me out. I think this one is in Tokyo, but I'm not 100 percent sure.

Fun little ride from Japan.

We enjoyed this little water ride in Japan, the boats follow a track and you have no input but they bob about and follow different courses depending on the order of the boat you get into. It's at Disneyland Disneysea, a really cool park. If you can get there then you won't be disappointed.

Boat and Volcano.

I was feeling a little nautical today, so here is a shot from out trip to the Disneysea in Japan from last May. If you get a chance go check it out, it's the most beautiful Disney park. IMHO.

Tokyo Monorail Window

This is the view on a rather gloomy day out of the wonderful Mickey head windows on the Tokyo Disney Monorail. The view is of the Hotel Mirracosta.

A little nature for you.

One of the nice things about Animal Kingdom is you can pretend you are in nature. When I processed these photos I thought that the bamboo grove was taken on my trip to Japan in May but nope it's Animal Kingdom. See if you can spot the not so natural tree!

Tokyo Disney Monorail

Inside the cute Tokyo Disney Monorail, you can see the not so hidden Mickey windows. Also the efforts the Japanese people go to to Disney them selves up for there visits to the parks. I'm sure there's a Duffy or two in there.

Hmm that Monorail looks different!

This is the Monorail in Tokyo Disneyland Resort. There are a couple of differences, the main one is you have to pay to ride it, something to do with the Railway laws in Japan. The cool difference, Mickey Mouse Windows!!! How cool is that?

Tower of Terror.

Now I've said before that the Tower of Terror is my favorite ride and it's true. However, I really don't like the shape of the newer versions in California, Paris and this one in Tokyo. What's with all the sticky out bits at the top. It looks like a hammer headed shark! I guess its to hold ride mechanism. I just don't know of any buildings that are that shape from that era. Still love the themeing and the rides though.

The frog was a prince. The prince was an egg. The egg was a bird. Haven't you heard?

The Volcano and the Golden Dome.

People will tell you that if you are a Disney Park Lover, you have to at sometime take a trip to Tokyo Disney Sea because it is the most amazing park of them all. They are not joking, just look at the wondrous attention to detail in this photograph. It's stunning.

BTMR

As I get older I'm finding that harness roller coasters are a bit too uncomfortable for me. Once I was in Islands of Adventure and I rode Hulk 8 times in a row, Greg my son rode it 10 times, I didn't do the last two due to shall we say a tummy content meets sidewalk incident after ride no 8. However, I do love the non harness coasters a lot. I love Big Thunder and especially Everest. I can't wait to do the 7 Dwarfs Mine Train in September when we go back to the world. This one is as the observant will tell the BTMR in Tokyo.

The Old Bus and the New Hotel.

Thought this made a nice visual combination of the old style bus with the modern hotel. It's a little Tomorrowland style if you ask me.

Sit back and smell the trombone.

As I get older, I'm less inclined to ride Tower of Terror 10 times in a row as I have done in the past, nope once is enough for me. The beauty of Disney is that there is always something fun you can find to enjoy yourself. So Sit back, relax, have a beverage of your choice and enjoy the band for a while. One of my favorite things to do at Epcot for example is get some Fish and Chips and watch the British Revolution play a set, I call it the "poor man's dinner show!"
