Frozen Princesses.

I'm really looking forward to the new BaTB movie. Always try to catch the show at Disney's Hollywood Studio's when I'm there.

It's a big blue world.

I went to the Finding Nemo show at Animal Kingdom, mainly to photograph the puppets and puppeteers. Robin my wife is not a big fan of turning the movie into a musical but I guess it's grown on me, I quite enjoyed the show this time. Anyway I really liked this photo, so if you are at Animal Kingdom give the show a try.

Frozen.

As it is so cold her in Texas this evening I thought I would cheer us up with the Frozen float in the Disney Parade at the Magic Kingdom, and also her is my house in the cold snow.

Hi for all you Peter Pan and Wendy fans, here is a great photo of them having fun in the parade at the Magic Kingdom. They seem to have stolen Captain Hooks ship. This parade is probably my most favorite since the Remember the Magic Parade around 15 years ago. That tune is still in my head. I loved that one, and I really like the most recent, especially the Steam Punk Dragon. Well I'm getting excited about the forthcoming trip. I'm planning on getting my cameras ready this week. Clean the lenses, charge the batteries. Sort out what I need and what I don't. I'm hoping to get lots of great up to date shots for this blog. Thanks for viewing it, I do appreciate you popping by. Less than two weeks to the trip to WDW.

I've learnt not to count my chickens about Disney trips. We had to cancel a trip at short notice last year and postpone it for a couple of months. Hopefully we are good to go a week on Saturday. We are flying there via Las Vegas, where we are scheduled to be about twenty minutes. Las Vegas is of course in totally the wrong direction for Orlando but hey. I like flying so no problem. I'm going to take a quarter for a slot machine, maybe I will win the $1 million jackpot at the Airport. Which unlike any other airport is full of slot machines. Well it is Vegas after all. Then we fly onto Orlando and WDW. The thing I like about WDW is it's capacity to make you forget the real world. So for nine days, I'm going to forget my job, my problems and the fact I lost 25c on a wild gambling spree in Vegas. I might buy a Mickey Chocolate Apple. This is how they make them by the way.

Spash Mountain from an unusual angle.

I thought I would have a little competition to see who can figure out where I took this photo. It was a place I had not taken a camera before. Any Ideas? It turned out to be a fun spot to take other photos too. There is a little clue in the left had corner of the photo, something not quite in character with the rest of the shot. If you know what it is, it might give you a clue as to where I was!!!

Look Out Beast.

If I've learnt one thing in life it's that it's a good idea to avoid the mob. If a group of people are bent on doing something en mass, especially with any anger in there, then run the other direction.

Quiet Day at Space Mountain.

Well who doesn't like the parks when they are less busy, there's something to be said for going to WDW when few others are. Give me a peaceful day when you don't need fastpass anytime.

I thought that this was cool the inside of an anamatronic. We kind of take them for granted. There is some amazing engineering that goes on at Walt Disney Imagineering.

3 for the price of 1.

I'm probably giving away too much information here. I spent an hour or so last night playing around with a program called Lightroom made by Adobe. It's very good at painting with light. These photos look pretty similar apart from the colours. That's because they are the same photo. I think it shows that saying "the camera never lies" should have "but the photo processor does" added afterwards.

Dino Rama.

When this area first opened in the Animal Kingdom, I was rather appalled. In volume one of our Disney Diaries there is a believe a bit of a rant by me about the arcade games which smacks of what Walt was originally trying to get away from. However the cheeky fun atmosphere of the area has rather grown on me, and I do like the off the shelf wild mouse coaster. Not a good ride to go on just after lunch.

I think the Tower of Terror is my favorite attraction more because of the way cool theme rather than the ride itself, though that's pretty neat too.

Those of you who know me, know that I basically love both Disney and Photography, so I thought that it would be fun to create a blog combining the two. Which I'm calling Photograping Disney.
